We're not letting a little power outage get us down! The electricity outage cancelled this annual event on June 12th but we've rescheduled the fun!

- 4th Annual Kosse Greyhound 5K Run-Walk, Saturday at 7:30AM at the Kosse City Park - Details and Signup
- A Turtle Race, Saturday after the 5K Run There will be several practice races and three age divisions. Age divisions being 5 and under, 6 - 9 years, and 10 to 12 years old. Prizes will be awarded to the winner! No snapping turtles please!
- BARBECUE LUNCH at 11:00AM at the Kosse Community Center sponsored by the KCC and the Kosse VFD
- HOMECOMING PARADE at 2:00PM in downtown Kosse sponsored by the Kosse Community Center. Call Sheila Brantner at 254-375-2414 or Karen Partin at 254-375-9696 for information and to sign up your parade entry.

Rodeo Details
The rodeo is produced by Flying "C" Rodeo Company and will be a UPRA-CPRA co-approved rodeo; local riders are welcome to participate.
The events include calf roping, team roping, steer wrestling, saddle bronc, barrel racing, bull riding, ladies breakaway and bare back. The entry fees are $70 for all events except for team roping and they are $240. The call in day for bareback, saddle bronc, bullriding, and team roping is Monday, June 7th from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. at 903-395-9237. If you want to enter the steer wrestling, tie down, breakaway, or barrel racing you need to call in on Tuesday, June 8th from 5 p.m. - 10 p m. at 903-395-9237.
This year we are also having novice bare back and saddle bronc. The entry fee for these two novice events will be $25. There is no added money for these novice events.
We will have Jr. Barrel Racing (16 & under) and muttin-bustin (50lb limit; ages 6 and under), Jr. Barrels entry fee is $25 and will be jackpotted each night. The entry fee for the muttin-bustin is $20 and prizes will be given away nightly to the muttin bustin winners. If you wish to enter your children in Muttin Bustin or Jr. Barrels you need to call in on Tuesday, June 8th to 254-747-1912 from 3 p m. - 8 p.m. This call in is ONLY for the Muttin Bustin and Jr. Barrels. There is no added money in these two events.
There is a total of $2,100 added money. The bull riding and saddle bronc has $700 added money to each, bare back has $200 added money, and the timed events have $100 added to each event.
All horses must have a negative coggins with them before entering the rodeo grounds.
There will be a calf scramble for the kids 12 and under. We are also selling raffle tickets for a chance to win the following: One year old palomino colt donated by Bobby Yancey (if you win the horse and do not want it, Mr. Yancey will purchase the horse from you for $1,000); two $50 gift certificates from Rusty's Western Wear in Mexia; $25 gift certificate to the Kosse Cafe and $50 gift certificate from S&S Ag Center in Groesbeck. These tickets are 6 for $5 or $1 each. The drawing will be held on Saturday, June 13th at the rodeo and you do not have to be present to win. You can purchase these tickets from any Kosse Roping Club member now through Saturday, June 13th at the rodeo. Good luck!
