The big Kosse Fireworks Show is sponsored by the City and is managed by the Kosse Volunteer Fire Dept. The spectacular show will start at dark. Like everything, fireworks and food have had major price increases. If you'd like to help, please drop off your donation at Kosse City Hall or mail it to the City at P.O. Box 116, Kosse, TX 76653. Due to the terrible fire conditions, the City is asking our residents to not set off fireworks at their homes. The KVFD will host a Big Fish Fry from 11:00am – 1:00pm on Saturday, June 11 at the Kosse Community Center during Homecoming Weekend. Plates are only $12. There will also be a Silent Auction for some outstanding items including a Pellet grill, Yeti cooler and accessories, fish fryer, bicycle and other great prizes including several original Bob Wills record albums! The KVFD is counted on to respond when there is a fire, accident or medical emergency. Please support our volunteers!

The Kosse Community Center will host a fundraiser BBQ and dance on Saturday, January 22nd for the benefit of local law enforcement veterans, Mark and Lainie Morris, who lost their home to a fire on Nov 28. The home and all the contents were a total loss and Mark suffered burns and severe cuts but is now recovering.
Brisket, sausage, and side dishes will be served along with raffles and prizes. A special appearance by Gordon Collier will provide a great night of music for all to enjoy starting at 7PM. Serving will began at 11AM at the Community Center. Tickets are $15 a plate and are available at Kosse City Hall, Farmers State Bank, or at the door. Call Brooks at 832-773-8361 for more information.
